Jesus Speaks about His Second Coming

# 1 - Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. And many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. "So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. (Matthew 24:4-5; 11; 23-27)
# 2 - "At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. (Matthew 24:30-31)
# 3 - For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done. ((Matthew 16:27)
# 4 - As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. (Matthew 24:37-39)
# 5 - "It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. "It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. (Luke 17:28-30)

GET READY;JESUS IS COMING BACK SOON:

Acts 1:11
" and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”"

MY WALK WITH GOD IN 2015

MY WALK WITH GOD IN 2015

MY WALK WITH GOD IN 2015
Luke 2:40-52
Hallelujah! It is a great thing to see you in the year 2015. This year will birth great and miraculous things into your life in Jesus’ name (amen). It is always the best to start the year with God and that is why we are starting the year with the topic MY WALK WITH GOD.
Shortly after the birth of Jesus, his earthly parents (Joseph and Mary) went together with him to Jerusalem for the feast of Passover. On their way back after feasting and merry, they left Jesus behind. Meaning that, they had forgotten about Jesus. To show that they had out-rightly forgotten about Jesus, it took them a whole day before they realized that Jesus was no longer with them. Guess what, this careless act caused them a lot of trouble. They had to go back to Jerusalem to look for Him, having almost completed their journey back home. As if that was not enough, they spent three days looking for him. What a waste of time and energy!
What lesson can we therefore learn from this account? Quite many lessons of course. Having ended year 2014 with feasting and merry, I really hope you have not forgotten Jesus. Hope you have not left him behind in the last year.
Why do you have to have Jesus with you in this New Year? One, to avoid the type of trouble Joseph and Mary found themselves after they carelessly forgot about Jesus, there is a need for you to ensure Jesus is with you in your journey in 2015. Otherwise, the journey would be tantamount to a waste of time and resources, unnecessary stress and perpetual retrogression. Do not forget He is the Alpha and Omega. He knows the ending from the beginning. He knows every bit of events that will unfold in the year.
You remember the first miracle Jesus performed in John 2:1-10, during the wedding in Cana of Galilee? You can imagine how the wedding would have ended in a total mess save for the presence of Jesus there. Therefore, to avoid shame and disappointment in this year, you need to let Jesus be with you consistently even as you go about your daily endeavours.
In Mark 4:36-41, when storm arose against the disciples in their boat, they were sore afraid and thought an end had come for them. But thank God for the presence of Jesus, the Prince of Peace Himself stilled the storm. Definitely there will be storms in the year 2015. But guess what? Be rest assured that when Jesus is with you, He will calm every storm for you.
As you make your work and walk with Jesus consistent this year, I pray that your new year start with Sweet Sundays, Marvellous Mondays, Tasty Tuesdays, Wonderful Wednesdays, Thankful Thursdays, Friendly Fridays and Successful Saturdays. May all your dreams turn into reality and all your efforts into great achievements in Jesus’ name.

WISE SAYING!

We are not meant to change God's message...God's message is meant to change us!

Coming of Christ.

Christ's coming will be unexpected and dramatic. It's in the BIble, 2 Peter 3:10, NKJV. " But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up."
What warning has Christ given so we won't be fooled about the second coming? It's in the Bible, Matthew 24:23-26, NIV. "At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There He is!' do not believe it. For false Christ's and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. So if anyone tells you, 'There He is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here He is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it."
Does anyone know the exact time of Christ's coming? It's in the Bible, Matthew 24:36, NIV. "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
Knowing how human it is to procrastinate, what does Christ tell us to do? It's in the Bible, Matthew 24:42, NKJV. "Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming."

Coming of Christ .

How will Jesus come again? It's in the Bible, Luke 21:27, NIV. "At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."
How many will see Him when He comes? It's in the Bible, Revelation 1:7, NIV. "Look, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him."
What will we see and hear when He comes? It's in the Bible, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, NIV. "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
How visible is His coming to be? It's in the Bible, Matthew 24:27, NIV. "For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man."

God's Glory ..

Romans 11:36

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

One Day At A Time

Remember, you may choose your sin, but you cannot chose the consequences. Live one moment at a time and that moment for God. Don't think of a holy life for that will drown you by its' immensity, but remember that a holy life is a series of holy moments. Relying on God has to start all over everyday., as if nothing has yet been done. God will one day hold us each accountable for all the things He created for us to enjoy, but we refused to do so.

NOT BY QUALIFICATION

Weekend Blessing!!! Pls Enjoy It
NOT BY QUALIFICATION
1 KINGS 3:7
“And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.”
Whilst Solomon spoke to God in a dream, he identified himself as a little child. He described himself as one who did not know how to go out or come in. He presented himself as one who was inadequate for the position of honour that was bestowed on him. He was small, but God gave it to him.
Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: God will give you positions that are bigger than you; God will give you miracles you did not plan or prepare for; God will grant you amazing favours you don’t deserve, and great opportunities that are bigger than you; God will give you what others fight and compete to have.
Other children would have been waiting for adulthood to start making giant strides, but for Solomon, serious things had already begun to happen. God says, when nothing good is happening for others, plenty good things will happen in your life.
Get set to have it even if you are small and inadequate; get set to have it even when you don’t deserve it or you haven’t lobbied for it; get set to step up even if others are more qualified.
Solomon had people ahead of him in David’s family, he had an elder brother named Adonijah who should rightly be considered as David’s heir apparent, but God bypassed Adonijah and others to make Solomon King.
Are there people who are boasting of their qualifications and the fact that they are ahead of you? God says, they will still be there and you will be chosen ahead of them.
Focus on God and forget those who are more qualified than you; don’t look down on yourself because of what you don’t have. If God be for you, get set for something bigger than you.
Pray With Me:
Lord, even when I am not qualified or ready, I shall have it, in Jesus’ name!
Pls if you haven't given your life to Jesus, this is an another opportunity for you. I assure you will never regret u did.

GO YE UNTO ALL THE WORLD!

“Christians are like manure: spread them out and they help everything grow better, but keep them in one big pile and they stink horribly.”
GO YE UNTO ALL THE WORLD!

Followers of Christ

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

followers of christ

Matthew 16:24

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

****WARNING!! DANGER!!****

****WARNING!! DANGER!!****
Be careful, you can fall in love with doctrine and not fall in love with the One who the doctrine is about! You can fall in love with music and praise and not fall in love with the One you are singing about. You can fall in love with preaching and not the One you are preaching about. You can have religion but no relationship. As for me...I just want to fall in love with Jesus!‪#‎SomebodySayAmen‬

Love him or her as yourself

Philippians 2:12

Philippians 2:12 "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my ABSENCE, WORK OUT YOUR OWN salvation with fear and trembling."
The heart of the Pastor & Apostle Paul is seen here in this one verse. He tells the church of Philippi that there is an utmost importance for YOU to work out your OWN salvation. He is stressing this point all the more because he is ABSENT. I think the danger is still present today, that we have Christians that are codependent upon pastors to baby, pamper and coddle them. Granted, if you're a "babe in Christ" that will be necessary...but that's not always the case. It is critical that as you grow in Christ that you are no longer dependent upon childish, babe-like treatment. But you become one that is lifting up, not always needing to be lifted up. The New Testament church that we see the Apostle Paul addressing here did not have the luxury of having a pastor that was simply a phone call or a text message away...they had to learn to be mature and WORK OUT THEIR OWN SALVATION.
I honestly am not addressing this to anyone, especially at our church. But I speak to so many pastors and I hear the frustration that is often expressed of saints getting upset because their pastor is not omnipresent or something. Saints, could it be, when your pastor doesn't answer the phone when you feel like you need urgent prayer, doesn't call you up when you miss a service, is not able to visit you when you are in the hospital...that GOD IS WANTING YOU TO DEPEND ON HIM AND GROW CLOSER TO HIM? I guess it could be summarized in one more verse the Apostle Paul gives to us - Ephesians 4:15 "But speaking the truth in love, may GROW UP into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ"

Thirty Sayings of the Wise

Proverbs 22:17-24:34

New International Version (NIV)

Thirty Sayings of the Wise

Saying 1

17 Pay attention and turn your ear to the sayings of the wise;
    apply your heart to what I teach,
18 for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart
    and have all of them ready on your lips.
19 So that your trust may be in the Lord,
    I teach you today, even you.
20 Have I not written thirty sayings for you,
    sayings of counsel and knowledge,
21 teaching you to be honest and to speak the truth,
    so that you bring back truthful reports
    to those you serve?

Saying 2

22 Do not exploit the poor because they are poor
    and do not crush the needy in court,
23 for the Lord will take up their case
    and will exact life for life.

Saying 3

24 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person,
    do not associate with one easily angered,
25 or you may learn their ways
    and get yourself ensnared.

Saying 4

26 Do not be one who shakes hands in pledge
    or puts up security for debts;
27 if you lack the means to pay,
    your very bed will be snatched from under you.

Saying 5

28 Do not move an ancient boundary stone
    set up by your ancestors.

Saying 6

29 Do you see someone skilled in their work?
    They will serve before kings;
    they will not serve before officials of low rank.

Saying 7

23 When you sit to dine with a ruler,
    note well what[a] is before you,
and put a knife to your throat
    if you are given to gluttony.
Do not crave his delicacies,
    for that food is deceptive.

Saying 8

Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
    do not trust your own cleverness.
Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone,
    for they will surely sprout wings
    and fly off to the sky like an eagle.

Saying 9

Do not eat the food of a begrudging host,
    do not crave his delicacies;
for he is the kind of person
    who is always thinking about the cost.[b]
“Eat and drink,” he says to you,
    but his heart is not with you.
You will vomit up the little you have eaten
    and will have wasted your compliments.

Saying 10

Do not speak to fools,
    for they will scorn your prudent words.

Saying 11

10

      Do not move an ancient boundary stone

    or encroach on the fields of the fatherless,
11 for their Defender is strong;
    he will take up their case against you.

Saying 12

12 Apply your heart to instruction
    and your ears to words of knowledge.

Saying 13

13 Do not withhold discipline from a child;
    if you punish them with the rod, they will not die.
14 Punish them with the rod
    and save them from death.

Saying 14

15 My son, if your heart is wise,
    then my heart will be glad indeed;
16 my inmost being will rejoice
    when your lips speak what is right.

Saying 15

17 Do not let your heart envy sinners,
    but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord.
18 There is surely a future hope for you,
    and your hope will not be cut off.

Saying 16

19 Listen, my son, and be wise,
    and set your heart on the right path:
20 Do not join those who drink too much wine
    or gorge themselves on meat,
21 for drunkards and gluttons become poor,
    and drowsiness clothes them in rags.

Saying 17

22 Listen to your father, who gave you life,
    and do not despise your mother when she is old.
23 Buy the truth and do not sell it—
    wisdom, instruction and insight as well.
24 The father of a righteous child has great joy;
    a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him.
25 May your father and mother rejoice;
    may she who gave you birth be joyful!

Saying 18

26 My son, give me your heart
    and let your eyes delight in my ways,
27 for an adulterous woman is a deep pit,
    and a wayward wife is a narrow well.
28 Like a bandit she lies in wait
    and multiplies the unfaithful among men.

Saying 19

29 Who has woe? Who has sorrow?
    Who has strife? Who has complaints?
    Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes?
30 Those who linger over wine,
    who go to sample bowls of mixed wine.
31 Do not gaze at wine when it is red,
    when it sparkles in the cup,
    when it goes down smoothly!
32 In the end it bites like a snake
    and poisons like a viper.
33 Your eyes will see strange sights,
    and your mind will imagine confusing things.
34 You will be like one sleeping on the high seas,
    lying on top of the rigging.
35 “They hit me,” you will say, “but I’m not hurt!
    They beat me, but I don’t feel it!
When will I wake up
    so I can find another drink?”

Saying 20

24 Do not envy the wicked,
    do not desire their company;
for their hearts plot violence,
    and their lips talk about making trouble.

Saying 21

By wisdom a house is built,
    and through understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled
    with rare and beautiful treasures.

Saying 22

The wise prevail through great power,
    and those who have knowledge muster their strength.
Surely you need guidance to wage war,
    and victory is won through many advisers.

Saying 23

Wisdom is too high for fools;
    in the assembly at the gate they must not open their mouths.

Saying 24

Whoever plots evil
    will be known as a schemer.
The schemes of folly are sin,
    and people detest a mocker.

Saying 25

10 If you falter in a time of trouble,
    how small is your strength!
11 Rescue those being led away to death;
    hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
12 If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,”
    does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it?
    Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?

Saying 26

13 Eat honey, my son, for it is good;
    honey from the comb is sweet to your taste.
14 Know also that wisdom is like honey for you:
    If you find it, there is a future hope for you,
    and your hope will not be cut off.

Saying 27

15 Do not lurk like a thief near the house of the righteous,
    do not plunder their dwelling place;
16 for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again,
    but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.

Saying 28

17 Do not gloat when your enemy falls;
    when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice,
18 or the Lord will see and disapprove
    and turn his wrath away from them.

Saying 29

19 Do not fret because of evildoers
    or be envious of the wicked,
20 for the evildoer has no future hope,
    and the lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out.

Saying 30

21 Fear the Lord and the king, my son,
    and do not join with rebellious officials,
22 for those two will send sudden destruction on them,
    and who knows what calamities they can bring?

Further Sayings of the Wise

23 These also are sayings of the wise:
To show partiality in judging is not good:
24 Whoever says to the guilty, “You are innocent,”
    will be cursed by peoples and denounced by nations.
25 But it will go well with those who convict the guilty,
    and rich blessing will come on them.
26 An honest answer
    is like a kiss on the lips.
27 Put your outdoor work in order
    and get your fields ready;
    after that, build your house.
28 Do not testify against your neighbor without cause
    would you use your lips to mislead?
29 Do not say, “I’ll do to them as they have done to me;
    I’ll pay them back for what they did.”
30 I went past the field of a sluggard,
    past the vineyard of someone who has no sense;
31 thorns had come up everywhere,
    the ground was covered with weeds,
    and the stone wall was in ruins.
32 I applied my heart to what I observed
    and learned a lesson from what I saw:
33 A little sleep, a little slumber,
    a little folding of the hands to rest
34 and poverty will come on you like a thief
    and scarcity like an armed man.
