The Power of Faith

Noah spent 120 years building an ark - all because he trusted God's promise to destroy everything on the earth with a flood. During that time. all Noah's neighbors laughed at him.
But Noah never gave up. Would your faith have survived such a test of time and hardship?
You can have that kind of faith. Unfortunately, some of us don't clearly understand what faith is or how to put it into practice.
Hebrews chapter 11 has the answer we are looking for. Listen as Old TESTAMENT📷 giants of faith still speak to us through their lives.
The Power of Faith will help you strengthen your confidence in God's promises. And it will prepare you for those times when the Lord calls upon you to move mountains!

YIELD TO GOD.

YIELD TO GOD.
MEMORISE : Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. ROMANS 6 : 13.
READ : 2 CHRONICLES 30 : 8 - 9 :
8 Now be ye not stiff necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.
9 For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : SONG OF SOLOMON 1 - 4 AND 3 JOHN 1.
God has a unique plan for your life. In all that you do, never let this escape your mind. Note however that there is a difference between desire and purpose. There is also a difference between ambition and purpose. Your joy can only be full when you find your purpose in life. Until you get to this point, life will be such a struggle, full of stress and pressures. It is good to have ambition, but it is better to seek God's purpose for your life, and having known it, make that your life's ambition. You will be happier for it.
Moreover, having carved out His purpose for your life, God gives you the gifts and abilities that will enable you fulfil that purpose. God's calling on your life is in line with His divine purpose. Where a conflict exists between God's plan for your life and your own plans, there will always be problems. For instance, if God wants you to be a missionary in a particular country and you plan to be a doctor in another part of the world, there will be great conflict. If you fail to yield to His will, you will be disrupting His plan. It is either a person is brought to a halt over his personal ambition that is making God's will secondary, or God will alter His plan for that person by moving someone else into his place. If your pursuit runs contrary to God's plan for your life, God expects you to do something fast. When Peter's fishing business got in God's way, he was called out of traditional fishing into fishing for men. As we speak, there are several people who refuse to yield to God over His plan for their lives. They have continued to struggle with God's will. Resisting God's will regarding His plan for your life can be frustrating. It can lead to labouring without commensurate harvest, afflictions, disappointments, great loss of valuables and much more. If you remain adamant after repeated attempts to bring you back in line, God may have to replace you. When God replaces a person, he or she is left alone to pursue his or her ambitions, which will lead nowhere. Are you struggling with God? Is God calling you into His service or into full-time ministry and you are resisting? Stop resisting Him today!
PRAYER POINT :
Father, I yield my life to You today; make out of my life what You desire for it.

GOD'S WAR INSTRUMENT.

MEMORISE : Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms: JEREMIAH 51 : 20.
READ : ISAIAH 41 : 14 - 16 :
14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : SONG OF SOLOMON 5 - 8 AND JUDE 1.
Because holiness is the nature of God, living a holy life makes you a partner with God in His work. 2 Corinthians 6 : 1 says :
"We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain."
What a great privilege this is! When you have the same nature as God, He will not look at your limitations; rather, He will lift you up so that He can relate with you. God wants to partner with you. He wants to be able to seek your opinion on issues; not because He does not know what to do, but just to make you know that you count before Him (John 6:5-6). Living a holy life makes you count before God, and it gives you relevance before Him ( Genesis 18 : 17 - 19 ).
Moreover, holiness empowers you to plead your cause before God. As a sinner, you cannot stand before God, because your sins have disqualified you to begin with. But when you approach Jesus and accept Him as your Saviour, His blood washes you clean and He stands as your lawyer to plead your cause ( 1 John 2 : 1 ). Thereafter, as you imbibe His holiness and allow His nature to express itself through you, you are empowered to plead your own cause before God (Hebrews 4:16). Holiness also qualifies you to plead for others. Are you living a holy life? How well are you pleading your cause and that of others before heaven's court?
Similarly, living a holy life makes you God's sharp battle axe: you become a fighting instrument in His hands ( Jeremiah 51 : 20 ). A life of holiness is a declaration to the kingdom of darkness that you are on God's side permanently. You therefore become a very useful instrument in God's hands. Isaiah 41 : 15 says :
"Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth; thou shalt thresh the mountains; and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff."
One of my sons once had a dream where he saw his hands being exchanged with iron hands. Even though he tried to resist what the angels were doing, he could not stop them. Thereafter, the Lord used him mightily against the kingdom of Satan and is still using him today. The more you live a life of holiness, the more likely it is that God will use you to do greater things and to fight bigger battles. Are you living a holy life?
PRAYER POINT :
Father, make the Body of Christ a sharp battle axe in your hands in these last days.

Question: "What is prayer?"

Answer: The most basic definition of prayer is “talking to God.” Prayer is not meditation or passive reflection; it is direct address to God. It is the communication of the human soul with the Lord who created the soul. Prayer is the primary way for the believer in Jesus Christ to communicate his emotions and desires with God and to fellowship with God.

Prayer can be audible or silent, private or public, formal or informal. All prayer must be offered in faith (James 1:6), in the name of the Lord Jesus (John 16:23), and in the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:26). As the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia puts it, “Christian prayer in its full New Testament meaning is prayer addressed to God as Father, in the name of Christ as Mediator, and through the enabling grace of the indwelling Spirit” (“Prayer” by J. C. Lambert). The wicked have no desire to pray (Psalm 10:4), but the children of God have a natural desire to pray (Luke 11:1).

Prayer is described in the Bible as seeking God’s favor (Exodus 32:11), pouring out one’s soul to the Lord (1 Samuel 1:15), crying out to heaven (2 Chronicles 32:20), drawing near to God (Psalm 73:28, KJV), and kneeling before the Father (Ephesians 3:14).

Paul wrote, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6–7). Worry about nothing; pray about everything.

Everything? Yes, God wants us to talk with Him about everything. How often should we pray? The biblical answer is “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). We should keep a running conversation going with God all day long. Some find the ACTS formula of prayer helpful, but there is really no special formula for how to pray in the Bible. We should just do it. We can pray under any and all circumstances. Prayer develops our relationship with God and demonstrates our trust and utter dependence upon Him.

Prayer is the Christian’s way of communicating with God. We pray to praise God and thank Him and tell Him how much we love Him. We pray to enjoy His presence and tell Him what is going on in our lives. We pray to make requests and seek guidance and ask for wisdom. God loves this exchange with His children, just as we love the exchange we have with our children. Fellowship with God is the heart of prayer. Too often we lose sight of how simple prayer is really supposed to be.

When we make petitions to God, we let God know exactly where we stand and what we would like to see happen. In our prayers, we must admit that God is greater than we are and ultimately knows what is best in any given situation (Romans 11:33–36). God is good and asks us to trust Him. In prayer, we say, essentially, “Not my will, but your will be done.” The key to answered prayer is praying according to the will of God and in accordance with His Word. Prayer is not seeking our own will but seeking to align ourselves with the will of God more fully (1 John 5:14–15James 4:3).

The Bible contains many examples of prayer and plenty of exhortations to pray (see Luke 18:1Romans 12:12; and Ephesians 6:18). God’s house is to be a house of prayer (Mark 11:17), and God’s people are to be people of prayer: “Dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love” (Jude 1:20–21).

DO YOU KNOW

God is good !

Only God can turn a MESS into a MESSage, a TEST into a TESTimony, a TRIal into a TRIumph, a VICTim into a VICTor. GOD is GOOD!

#Prayer

Father,Thank You for keeping me throughout this year, the fact I am alive means the devil has lost the battle over me in Jesus Name.

Isaiah 66:1

As high as God is and even though He has His throne in Heaven, yet He condescends to meet the needs of His children on earth (Isaiah 66:1).

Learn how to forgive

Unforgiveness is like a poison & bitterness in your soul. Your life will always be bitter until you get rid of that poison

FULFILLING THE LAW OF CHRIST

MEMORISE:
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Galatians 5:14
READ: Luke 6:27-35
27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.
30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
MESSAGE:
There are some basic truths that all heaven-bound Christian pilgrims must embrace for total freedom from the devil and his lies. One of these truths is that God's commandments are eternally relevant and cannot be broken without consequences. Our first parents disobeyed God and the consequence was that their perfect life was destroyed, and the cordial relationship they had with the Lover of their souls was broken. Little did they know that the commandment God gave them was for their own good. Heaven is not devoid of divine law! The will of God is the law of heaven. No wonder our Lord taught us to pray this in Matthew 6:10:
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
The reason why the beings in heaven do not just do what pleases them is because divine law and order reigns in heaven. Psalm 103:20-21 says:
“Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.”
It is therefore a misplaced understanding of grace for any Christian to think that once a fellow is saved, there is no obligation to obey any form of commandments because there is no law to keep. In fact, as Christians, we are under the law of Christ and this law is administered through the Spirit of Lordship (one of the seven dimensions of the Holy Spirit), who lives in us (1 Corinthians 9:21, Romans 8:2, Isaiah 11:2).
What then is the law of Christ? The Master Himself sums it up, saying in Matthew 22:37-40:
“…Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
To fulfill the law of Christ is to walk in love. The Holy Spirit spells this out clearly in Galatians 6:2, saying:
“Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
Our Lord also spells out what it means to walk in love in today's Bible reading, teaching us what love in action really looks like. You cannot claim to be walking in love when you steal, sleep with your neighbour's spouse, defile your neighbour's daughter or go to the extent of killing other people. Love will not allow you to do so. This love was first demonstrated by Jesus Christ Himself and He is willing to impart it into those who would accept Him as their personal Lord and Saviour. Are you fulfilling the law of Christ?
PRAYER POINT:
Father, let Your love be shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Mark 5-6; Isaiah 14:12-32

DIVINELY SATISFIED?*

*MEMORISE:*
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 1 Timothy 6:8
READ: 1 Timothy 6:6-10
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
MESSAGE
Contrary to common belief, satisfaction in life is not a matter of how much you have. Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Luke 12:15:
“…Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”
In other words, abundant possessions do not guarantee joy, peace and fulfilment in life. The Lord is asking you today,
"Are you divinely satisfied? What is your satisfaction in life dependent on?"
The reason why a lot of people are never satisfied in life is due to the lack of contentment. In today's memory verse, the Holy Spirit instructs us to be content with having food and clothing.
This is a command and not a piece of advice. To measure up to this heavenly standard, we must endeavour to discover what true blessing is and the source of it. Concerning true blessing, Proverbs 10:22 says:
“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
True blessings from the Lord have three characteristics: they bring riches in all ramifications, they are devoid of sorrow and are accompanied with contentment.
Irrespective of what a man has, if he is not content, he will restlessly pursue satisfaction throughout his life time.
The Almighty God, in whose image we were created, is a great example to us on contentment. Genesis 1:31-2:22 says:
“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.”
From the scripture above, we learn that God saw everything that He had made as being very good.
In other words, God was content with what He had achieved in six days. This divine satisfaction made Him take a rest on the seventh day! We know that God continued His work after He rested on the seventh day because Jesus Christ said in John 5:17b:
“My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”
The secret behind God resting on the seventh day even though He still had more work to do is not far-fetched: God was content with His achievements. This is why the Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:6:
“But godliness with contentment is great gain.”
This verse shows that one may be godly but not have contentment.
Beloved, when we become obsessed with work because we want to acquire more wealth to the detriment of our worship of God and even to the point of harming our body system, then we have fallen into the snare of the devil described in 1 Timothy 6:9. Are you divinely satisfied?
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please grant me the grace to live a life of godliness with contentment.
