OBEDIENCE TO GOD'S VOICE GUARANTEES YOU A VICTORIOUS LIFE AND CONNECTS YOU TO DIVINE HELP.
GOD TAKES UP AND FIGHT THE BATTLE OF THOSE WHO SEEK, TRUST AND OBEYS HIM FOR ALL THINGS.
LONG LIFE WITH PROSPERITY
Memorise : Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.- Exodus 20:12
Read: Genesis 49:1-4
1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
MESSAGE :
The gospel truth is that the Christian lifestyle is so powerful, and yet deceptively simple and easy. I used the word “deceptively” because the Christian life can be likened to a police or soldier in uniform. These people may have gone through some rigorous training in the preparation for the job, however, the power behind their operations is the uniform that bears the nation’s emblem.
A police officer or military personnel is therefore protected from assault and ill treatment for reasons beyond himself, and more so because he is on duty as an agent of the country. So also, a person that is born again is protected, supported, assisted, and backed up by the authority of heaven. More importantly, this special privilege is not earned through social status, popularity, hard work, financial status, or anything else. The only requirement is to accept Jesus as personal Lord and Saviour, obediently submit to His authority in all things. For example, the Bible in Exodus 20:12 says:
“Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.”
This may seem very simple and easy, but unknown to many, great power is operating behind those words. This is the Word of God and anyone that will obey these words can expect to live a long life in prosperity. If you are obedient to these words, not only should you expect to live long as a child of God, you can also expect to be fruitful and prosperous. Fruitfulness is a covenant benefit of God's children. Deuteronomy 7:12-14 reveals that God expects you to be fruitful by the fruit of your body, in your business and livestock. This implies that, because you are blessed by God, everything associated with you will carry a mark of that blessing. This is why you should have great expectations regarding fruitfulness. Are you struggling with barrenness? In the name of Jesus Christ, there shall be no more barrenness in your life, in your body and in your business.
From now on, you shall be fruitful spiritually, mentally, financially, materially, and in your body.
Similarly, according to Deuteronomy 28:11-12, believers can expect supernatural abundance from the Lord. Remember, expectations should go ahead of you before the blessings are delivered. If you expect nothing, do not be surprised when you get nothing. Those without expectations demonstrate that they do not know what they want. When you read about God's powerful promises, expectations should rise up within you. The Lord says He will so bless you, that you will become a creditor to nations.
More so, this abundance is not limited to finance. God can bless the fruit of your brain so that you will be sought after by different educational institutions across the globe. The question is, are you born again? Are you in total obedience to the Word of God?
PRAYER POINT :
Father, help me to be obedient to Your Word and bless me abundantly in Jesus' name.

IT SHALL BE WELL
Memorise
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalms 30:5
Read: Revelation 21:1-7
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Message
It shall be well is a futuristic statement. It speaks about something that will happen later, a speculation about the future state of a man. God appointed ministers of the Gospel as stewards of His mysteries. These ministers are saddled with the responsibility of rightly dividing the Word of truth, and distributing to everyone the right dose at the right time. It is also their duty to try to separate the precious from the vile, And to be God’s mouthpiece in all situations. In addition, they are commissioned to operate as God’s ambassador in this world by delivering every message according to the mind of God, as documented in the Holy Bible. It is in this respect that prophet Isaiah spoke in Isaiah 3:10-11:
“Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.”
This passage reveals that there are two classes of people in the world – the righteous and the wicked. No mater how diverse men are, they all must fall under one of these categories. Consequently, the Bible classifies the people that are born again, sanctified and living in obedience to the Word of God as righteous, and everyone that refuses to accept Jesus as Lord and saviour as wicked. Therefore, no matter how wealthy, educated and morally upright a person is, without Christ, they are wicked. Wickedness in this case is tantamount to the rejection of the work of salvation and the offer of peace and reconciliation freely extended to humanity. We may then say that the righteous are those who have been renewed in the spirit of their mind, and are following after biblical holiness. On the other hand, the wicked are those who are still in a carnal unregenerate state, unable to please God because of fleshly lusts. Ecclesiastes 8:12 says:
“Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:”
It is obvious from these passages that God has decided to make the righteous the focus of His love, favour, and blessings. God is saying in spite of the negative circumstances around you presently, the present economic situation around the world, and the precarious political environment, it shall be well with the righteous. This is good news; however, it requires very serious consideration to decide where we belong. To which of these classes do you belong? Are you consciously living in obedience to God or are you living contrary to the Word of God? Answer these questions honestly and make a serious self-assessment of your life. As you do this, I declare that it shall be well with you in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Point:
Father, please give me the grace to live in Your righteousness daily in Jesus’ name.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
Read : James 4:6-10
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Message
Submitting to the perfect will of God is a great weapon against trials and temptations. It is wisdom for us to submit to the One who is our present help in time of trouble. Jesus Christ is our closest ally in the battle of life. This is why those who do not have Him as their personal Lord and Saviour are vulnerably disposed to sorrow, frustration and death.
For Us to enjoy the support and the defence of our great Ally , Jesus Christ , Apostle James wrote to say that we should submit ourselves to God , resist the devil and then he will flee from us (James 4:7).
The Bible says that pride goes before a fall. Many people fall into temptation because of pride .

This is why the scripture enjoys us to live soberly as we fight the good fight of faith.
For I say , through the grace given unto me , to every man that is among you , not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think ; but to think soberly , according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Humility and sobriety are great instruments of defence in the face of temptation. We are encouraged to humble ourselves in the sight of God so that He can lift us up.Once we are lifted up above principalities and powers, no temptation can floor us, because the Almighty is our Ally. People easily fall prey of trials and temptations because of their failure to live soberly . Over two thousand years ago, Apostle James gave us a key to solving the problem .

DIVINE PROMOTION
2 Samuel 2:6-9
“The Lord brings death and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and raises up. The Lord makes poor and makes rich: He brings low, and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honour. For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; on them He has set the world. He will keep the feet of his saints and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.”
You can achieve success by merit or by hardwork, but it is sweeter when you achieve success by the favour of God. This month, I want you to adopt the strategy of King David who knew very well that God helps people to succeed.
“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he puts down one and sets up another.”- Psalm 75:6-7
My prayer for you is that God shall open door for you where you did not knock, that you will enter into good opportunities from unexpected sources, and that you will reap where you did not sow in Jesus Mighty Name.
There is something called Divine Promotion. God divinely connects. He divinely helps, and He divinely promotes. If you study the Bible carefully, you will discover how hopeless cases are turned into opportunities through the supernatural intervention by God.
Moses is a typical case study. Few months after his birth, he was dumped at the river side by his mother, not because she wished or so desired. But because Pharaoh had issued a decree that all male sons of the Israelites be killed-(Israelites were in captivity in Egypt at this time). However, God caused the daughter of Pharaoh to visit the River Nile around the same time. There she saw baby Moses crying by the river side and she eventually adopted him. Baby Moses who would have died by the river side eventually became the adopted son of a princess. Baby Moses who was crying by the shore of River Nile in one moment started to live in a palace in another moment.
As you hold on to the God of Moses, every hopeless situation in your life shall turn around and you shall move from the valley of life to the mountain top in Jesus name.
What do you say to Joseph who was thrown into a pit, and later sold into slavery? But God intervened and connected him in the land of slavery to an officer of King Pharaoh, when he fell out of favour and was imprisoned. God visited him in the prison and he took him from the prison to the palace.
Joseph is a classic example of how God can turn the greatest adversity in life into promotion. Joseph moved from slavery into prison and from prison into palace. As long as you hold on to the character of Joseph, every situation in your life shall work out for good. God shall turn your demotion to promotion in Jesus name.
What do we say of David who was called from the field where he was looking after sheep and was anointed King over Israel? David was forgotten in the field when Samuel asked his father to present his children. All the seven brothers of David were presented, but David was not remembered. I pray for you today that though the world seems to have forgotten you, but God will remember you and send for you to come and occupy the position He has prepared for you in Jesus name.
All this shows that God is the lifter of men and as you lift up your eyes to that God this month, He will connect you and promote you. And you shall experience divine intervention in your situation in Jesus Mighty Name, amen.
Happy New Month!

OVERCOMING TRIALS 1
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12
Read : Proverbs 1:11-15
11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
Message
The irony of the spiritual realm is that the tempter is the prosecutor. The Bible says:
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:9-10
The Above scripture points to one bitter truth; trials and temptations are characteristics of life whether we believe it or not. It is. However, better to believe it because it is then we can preparedly overcome it. The Bible also confirms it by attaching a blessings to overcomers of temptation:
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12
It takes genuine love of God to be able to overcome temptation. Joseph was able to overcome temptation of sleeping with his masters wife because of the love he had for God. This love was what produced his victory. He said:
There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Genesis 39:9
As said earlier, there will always be temptations as long as we on this earth. Temptation is not a sin but falling into it is a sin. The bad thoughts that the devil flashes at you are not sins until you begin to hatch and execute them. It is our resistance to temptation that makes us overcomers. The Bible says :
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. Hebrews 12:4
My prayer for Someone using this devotional is that you remain an overcomer over sin from now on in Jesus name.
