What Does the Bible Say About lying?

Psalms 119:163 I hate and abhor lying: but your law do I love.
Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
Proverbs 13:5 A righteous man hates lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and comes to shame.
Proverbs 14:5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
Proverbs 17:7 Excellent speech becomes not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince.
Hosea 11:12 Ephraim compasses me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet rules with God, and is faithful with the saints.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and fornicators, and murderers, and idolaters, and whoever loves and makes a lie.

THEIR FAILURE, YOUR SUCCESS

THEIR FAILURE, YOUR SUCCESS
: “…fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.” (1 Samuel 16: 1).
When Saul failed and disobeyed God, God gave David an opportunity to be King of Israel. Saul’s failure was David’s opportunity; Saul’s rejection led to David’s acceptance; Saul’s demotion led to David’s promotion; Saul’s loss was David’s gain. Saul’s mistake led to David’s miracle.
Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: the failure of others will make room for your success; when others are rejected, you will be accepted; the demotion of others will lead to your promotion; the losses of others will bring you gains. When others go down, God will take you up; when others lose grounds, God will empower you to gain more grounds; when others fade into extinction, God will cause you to shine in distinction. When men lose their places in destiny, God will make more room for you; when men miss opportunities, God will give you new opportunities; when men sin against God and He rejects them, you will take their place. When colleagues, bosses, subordinates, etc fail to improve and fall out of favour, you will take their place.
Don’t spend your time criticizing men who are missing or wasting their opportunities for greatness; look inwards and make sure you have what it takes to take their place. Don’t be embarrassed or surprised when your competitors seem to be out of ideas. Their failure is your chance to succeed. Focus on being who God wants you to be; strive to be better than those who have failed around you; and one day, their failure will be the platform for your success. Job 36 vs. 7 (GWT) aptly puts it this way: “He doesn’t take his eyes off righteous people. He seats them on thrones with kings to honour them forever”.
Pls pray with me: Lord, the failure of others will lead to my success, in Jesus’ name!

Scriptures Against Laziness

The following is a list of scriptures on laziness. Laziness is a killer; fight it with all you have.  Laziness breeds disappointment, and disappointment breeds hopelessness, and hopelessness breeds DEPRESSION, and depression robs you of your motivation, which in turn breeds more laziness.  It is a cycle of death and destruction.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 – And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your OWN BUSINESS, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;  (12)  That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
Proverbs 24:30-34 – I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; (31)  And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.  (32)  Then I saw, and considered itWELL: I looked upon it, and received instruction.  (33) Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: (34) So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
Proverbs 6:6-11 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: (7) Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, (8) Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.  (9)  How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?  (10) Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: (11) So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
Proverbs 13:4 -The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
Proverbs 12:24 -The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
Proverbs 20:4 -The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.
Proverbs 19:15 -Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.
Proverbs 10:4-5 -He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.  (5) He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
Proverbs 22:29 -Seest thou a man diligent in his BUSINESS? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
Ecclesiastes 10:18 -By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.
Proverbs 27:23-27 -Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.  (24) For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?  (25) The hay appeareth, and the tender grass sheweth itself, and herbs of THE MOUNTAINSare gathered.  (26) The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.  (27) And thou shalt have goats’ milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.
Proverbs 28:19-20 – He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.  (20)  A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
Proverbs 20:13 – Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
Proverbs 21:5 – The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
Proverbs 12:11 – He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.

This Is To Bless Your Week

This Is To Bless Your Week
YOU WON'T BE CUT DOWN
“And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king…” (2 Kings 9: 6).
One vital component of the anointing oil, according to Exodus 30 vs. 22-25, is the olive oil, derived from the olive tree. The olive tree has an ability to survive all manner of damage. If you cut it down, it has the capacity to grow again. Cutting down the olive tree is an opportunity for it to grow again. Notice that Jehu was anointed with oil that contained an extract from the olive tree. He was anointed with the oil of survival. By that anointing, Jehu wasn’t going to be cut short or have his destiny truncated by any man.
Any man who would later attack Jehu was indulging in an exercise in futility.
Friend, as this new month begins, God says, you have been anointed with the oil of survival. Any man who wants to cut down your destiny is wasting his time; any power that wants to reduce or truncate your destiny is indulging in an exercise in futility. Any one who wants to pull you down will watch you rise higher. Your destiny is too protected to be truncated, and too secured to be destroyed. When men try to cut you down, you will grow again, and grow higher and greater.
Even if they actually pull you down, God will shock them by making you rise against all odds. Because of God’s presence in you, every attempt the enemy will make against you will be a waste of time. 2 Corinthians 4: 8-9 put it this way: “8. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9. Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;”
Pray With Me: Lord, no attack of the enemy will truncate my destiny, in Jesus’ name!
